Yesterday was a fun celebration of Imbolc. I've got my spring flowers gathered from a walk with an old friend. Friday they cut down the curly willow. Today there is so much more light in my windows and a big ugly stump out back. I'm reminded of Jonah who complains to God about killing his shade tree.
Someone whom I respect called me the person who tries to be the most like Jesus that she knows. I do try to be saintly, but I hadn't really been aiming to be Christ. I always saw myself more as Mary Magdalen. It is part of my philosophy to try to become the thing I admire. I think lately I've been more interested in being Cassie from The Good Witch than JFC.
