Yesterday was an odd day. All the momentum and anticipation pausing slightly before a somewhat disappointing finale. Maybe it was Sandy, and the moist rainy hurricane-like weather here on the other blue coast. Knowing there are very few wins and mostly constant compromise makes me feel old. There is going to be rust and mold.
But today is fine. Today I had a voodoo donut on the bridge. The sunshine and clean air surrounded me not like dough around raspberry jelly. But rather like the sky surrounds a flock of birds. Looking back, fear and anguish seem foolish.
