On Saturday I bought my son H. a dress shirt and tie and two pairs of jeans at Nordstrom. I'm hoping to get reimbursed by his dad for the purchases. The tie, in particular, was expensive.
He asked me to help him tie the tie and I said the night of the dance he'll be with his dad who knows better how to tie ties than I do. But I see now writing this that I should have at least tried to show him how then. He's doing all these teenage things to act like he doesn't like me that I need to ignore.
Also on Sat. Whole Foods: bananas, romano chicken breast, two big beers ...did I already record this one? No. Granola bar. Granola. No coconut, but maybe I should have insisted. Rug for the front door (selected by H, looks great).
On Sunday I bought the following at Trader Joe's:
ground beef
green peppers
sweet WA onions
marinara sauce
milk
plain yogurt
6 pack Celebration Ale
4 potatoes
new zealand sharp cheddar
toilet paper
dog biscuits
satay peanut sauce
green onions
mixed cubes of squash
mixed bag of greens
leaves of romaine
raspberries
shaved parmesean
polenta
quinoa
oatmeal ginger almond soap
Three CDs (Frank Zappa, Grey Anne and Tony Bennett) and a harmonica at
Music Millennium, a store I have bumper sticker for on my car. I hadn't been to the eastside, now only, branch, for a couple of years.
I opened a new account at Movie Madness; had never been there before. It looks amazing. I only went because H. wanted to watch the Odyssey to prepare for a test and Hollywood and Blockbuster didn't have it. I want to go back and find something for me to watch. Well I guess I have to, to return the dvd before Wed. night.
I went to the art fair in my neighborhood and bought a vast selection of earrings and some body butter for gifts, mostly; one of the five pairs of earrings might be mine.
A pint of Laurelwood Porter at the Laurelthirst while dancing to the Freak Mt. Ramblers. I thought it was a particularly good show, especially
Little Wing.
